Distribution:  Circumglobal in warm tropical and subtropical waters.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Assumed maximum length from Ref. 844. This is a subtidal and intertidal species found in rocky and sandy bottoms (Ref. 83936); tidepools and in deeper waters among algae (Ref. 87884).
