Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 100 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic and Eastern Pacific: Mexico, USA, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Lateral processes with slender dorsodistal tubercles, laterodistal tubercles, or both. Abdomen with 4 or 6 long dorsal spines at median length. Chelifore scape first segment with single mediodistal spine. Ocular tubercle with cap of several short spines. Legs with several long spines per segment, longer ones bearing many lateral setules. Femoral cement gland originating in large ventral bulge from which stout tube projects laterally (Ref. 2115, p. 26).
