Total Length: 89 to 114 cm; Wingspan: 217 to 244 cm (Ref. 8812). This species is generally sedentary but some juveniles and non-breeders and juveniles are dispersed and displaced during hurricanes (Ref. 84934). Threats are human disturbance, direct persecution and habitat destruction (Ref. 84934). Mangrove trees in the Caribbean used by frigatebirds for nesting are usually destroyed by hurricanes (Ref. 87784). |
