Family:  Terebridae (auger shells)
Max. size:  9 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo- Pacific: from East Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and Hawaii, and south to northeast Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly collected for its shell in the area (Ref. 349). On sandy beaches under the action of surf (Ref. 349).
