Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 35 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Caribbean Sea to Bermuda, and south to Venezuela. Northwest Atlantic: USA and Canada.
Diagnosis:  Formation: massive and cerioid, or in short series of several centers. Rudimentary columellae. Septa: thin, with pointed fine teeth. Color: often mottled gray-green; walls and valleys in contrasting color (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 116012.
