Max. size:  17 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and Hong Kong.
Diagnosis:  Rounded head bears a pair of shallow lateral cephalic furrows. Body narrows, ending in a bluntly pointed tip that does not have caudal cirrus.
Biology:  Intertidal to subtidal, on stones embedded in coarse silty sand. Also found on rocks and boulders covered by bivalves. Observed feeding on a juvenile arcid bivalve, Barbatia virescens (Ref. 125683).
