Distribution:  Central Pacific: Philippines, New Caledonia and French Polynesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common in shallow waters but rare in deep water to upper bathyal depths. Attached via its byssus to rocks or Acropora corals or on sandy bottom among coral rubble (Ref. 101147).
