Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 5 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from western Indonesia to western Polynesia; north to southern Japan, and south to northern Queensland and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected for shell trade and occasionally for subsistence (Ref. 349).
