Max. size:  5 cm CW (male/unsexed); 3.5 cm CW (female)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 2 - 550 m
Distribution:  Antarctic Indian Ocean and Southwest Pacific: Kerguelen and New Zealand. Polar and temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Rarely intertidal. Most often found at depths of 20 to 220 m and occasionally to 550 m (Refs. 103032, 116562). Observed on muddy or sandy bottoms, and occasionally on shallow rocky bottoms (Ref. 103032).
