Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine; depth range 2 - 88 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Species' maximum length from the Belgian part of the North Sea (Ref. 7882). Inhabits the subtidal regions (Ref. 96507); in the near-coastal zone. A digging bristle worm found in fine sediment with a 10-20% mud content; is absent in coarse-grained sediment (Ref. 7882). Also found in areas influenced by outflows from estuaries (Ref. 96507).
