This species has halo-like rings encircling tentacles. The nematocysts are inserted end-on into the edges of rings, radiating outward; velarial canals with one root per octant, palmate, with 4 digitiform extensions. The bell has nematocyst warts with a pale purple color. |
This species causes the Irukandji Syndrome (Ref. 128189). |
