Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: from the Bahamas Islands and southern Florida (USA) to French Guiana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It has a maximum total length of 17 cm (Ref. 271), total body length, usually around 12 cm (Ref. 4).
