Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan, China, and Hong Kong.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal. Found on rocks, within mussel beds, or on pilings (Ref. 75840). Reported from Hong Kong to be found on the ceilings and walls of submarine caves (Ref. 126058). Attached to raft frames in mariculture zones (Ref. 127121).
