Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 35 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Colonies are contorted dissected laminae. Coenosteum ridges are prominent. They are irregular on larger fronds, but are usually perpendicular to the margins of small fronds. Corallites occur irregularly, between the ridges. Brown, sometimes with pale blue margins (Ref. 846).
