Diagnosis:  Colonies are massive, encrusting or thick unifacial plates. Corallites: slightly exsert, Surrounded by partly fused thecal papillae. Coenosteum papillae: present. Dark brown or green; pale colors or bright blue or pink (Ref. 846).
