Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea.
Diagnosis:  Formation: thin plates, weakly attached with interconnecting, slightly sinuous narrow valleys. Corallite centers usually in single rows. Absent or rudimentary columellae. Color: often grays and browns, with valleys and walls of contrasting color (Ref. 848).
