Distribution:  Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known from depths of 11-293 m, abundant at 60-120 m. This is a bottom living species, but apparently performs diurnal vertical migrations; most common somewhat offshore (Ref. 85342).
