Environment:  benthic; brackish; depth range 0 - 6 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in freshened areas of river mouths, mangrove swamps and forests, and intertidal mud flats. Emerges from its burrow at night to gather leaf litter, carrying the leaves to its burrow to allow to decay before consumption (Ref. 114268).
