Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 3 - 57 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lives in tidepools with fine sand (Ref. 107207). Probably omnivores and scavengers as some species have been observed feeding on algae while others feed on invertebrates (e.g. ascidians) and carrion (Ref. 107862).
