Family:  Neritidae (nerites)
Max. size:  3.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from the Gulf of Bengal to Papua New Guinea; north to southern Japan and south to Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected for food and for the shell by coastal populations (Ref. 349). Depth range is based on occurrence in Mexico (Ref. 100889); to be replaced with a better reference.
