Distribution:  Antarctic, Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans: Mostly polar, but also in subtropical, tropical and boreal.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Colonial (Ref. 19). This is an attached species (Ref. 3123). Known from mangroves (Ref. 86642, 86643), tidal inlets, sheltered areas of bays, sounds, caves and upper slope (> 100m), tops of Challenger and Argus seamounts (Refs. 86643).
