Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and south to central Queensland and New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly collected for its shell (Ref. 349). Burrows in sand flats of shallow sublittoral zone (Ref. 349).
