Distribution:	Western Atlantic: from Honduras and Cuba to the Antilles, south to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Diagnosis:
Biology:	Maximum depth from Ref. 83921. Found in shallow depths (Ref. 106897). Inhabits bottom soft mud or silt and sometimes with sand (Ref. 8). Juveniles are found in estuarine environment (Ref. 8), in bays and estuaries (Ref. 106897). Adults are found in marine environment (Ref. 8).
