Family:  Palaemonidae (palaemonid shrimps)
Max. size: 
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and Marshall Islands.
Diagnosis:  Small, with a body length of 1 to 2 cm. Color varies with the host: from bright to dark red, and purple to almost black, with seven fine longitudinal white lines. Rostrum is straight, with four to five dorsal teeth. Ventral teeth absent.
