Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic and Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is found in sublittoral areas from sand to mud, especially among macroalgae, Macrocystis pyrifera or Enteromorpha (Ref. 87801). Probably omnivores and scavengers as some species have been observed feeding on algae while others feed on invertebrates (e.g. ascidians) and carrion (Ref. 107862).
