Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Philippines to New Caledonia and Indonesia to Samoa.
Diagnosis:  Colonies are branched with branches monocentric and having uniform lengths and uniformly spaced. Colonies are phaceliod and during the day and vesicles sometimes form a continuous mass. Cream, gray or pale brown in color.
Biology:  Found in shallow protected reef environments especially in turbid waters (Ref. 847). On reef slopes from mid to deeper regions (Ref. 98471).
