Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Belize.
Diagnosis:  Broadly ovate, with a deep-sculptured apical area. Smooth valves marked with shallow depressions, with some depressions having a small round opening. Deeply hollowed, V-shaped periflagellar area that accommodates 2 flagella and a thin angled apical plate. Smooth intercalary band. Cells are deep brown, with golden brown chloroplasts (Ref. 87175).
