Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 226 - 276 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Curacao.
Diagnosis:  This species can be distinguished by the following set of characters: presence of striking dorso-ventral flattening of the right cheliped; reduced branchial formula; 4th pereopods with grasping-like spines (instead of typically pagurid rasp-like scales; almost symmetrical uropods and telson; minute pair of 1st pleopods (gonopods).
Biology:  Depth range based on type locality; to be replaced with a better reference. Inhabits rariphatic zone of the deep reefs (Ref. 128615).
