Family:  Pectinidae (scallops)
Max. size:  50 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 15 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Indonesia, Philippines, New Caledonia and French Polynesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on clean sandy bottoms among coral rubble or byssally attached to the undersides of coral slabs or boulders (Ref. 101147).
