Biology: | One of the smallest species of the genus: mantle length of smallest mature males measure 1.10 cm; and smallest mature females are 1.4 cm. A very distinctive feature is the male copulatory apparatus and the female bursa copulatrix that distinguishes this species from the rest of the genus (Ref. 1695). Epibenthic. Lives on muddy bottoms and mainly on the continental shelf, although occasionally found along the slope. Never abundant; often captured with Sepietta oweniana and Rondeletiola minor; consumed locally (Ref. 1695). | |||
