Max. size:  30 cm COLD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 183 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:  A fragile, weedy species often found in dense thickets in a depth of about 6 to 20 m. Individual colonies (up to 30 cm diameter) are formed of thin branches (0.2 to 0.5 cm diameter) which frequently bifurcate and anastomose. Corallites are tiny, superficial, and form rows running from the tip to the base of the branch (Ref. 269).
