Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 35 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Red Sea, South Africa, to South China Sea and East Asia; east to Hawaii.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal and shallow subtidal, to depths of 35 meters (Ref. 132434). On rock pools (Ref. 124789). Also found in the mid-shore area of sheltered shores (Ref. 125338). Associated with fouling communities, preferring areas with relatively fast flowing waters. Reported from Hong Kong to be found in a marine cave (Ref. 79729).
