Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 2599 - 4026 m
Distribution:  Antarctic Atlantic: Antarctica (Scotia Sea).
Diagnosis:  Colonies up to 7.5 cm high, fan-shaped and strongly polysiphonic. Hydrorhiza disc-shaped. Branching frequent, irregular or alternate, and in one plane. Branches strongly constricted at their origin.
Biology:  Length based on colonies height. Depth based on occurrence record; to be replaced with better reference.
