Distribution:  Western Antarctic.
Diagnosis:  Has polysiphonic stem, the presence of anastomoses and mushroom-shaped diaphragm, the presence of stolons originating at the hydrothecal base and growing downwards, and the two to four longitudinal rows of hydrothecae.
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence record; to be replaced with better reference.
