Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Africa to northern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found inshore (Ref. 107694). Scaphopods are selective microcarnivores, feeding on microscopic organisms particularly forams. It also feeds on juvenile bivalves and kinorhynchs. Some species may be selective detritivores (Ref. 833).
