Family:  Trochidae (top shells), subfamily: Trochinae
Max. size:  5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits intertidal and shallow sublittoral zones (Ref. 98879), on rocks approaching reefs (Ref. 799). Members of the order Archaeogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
