Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean: from Ireland and Norway, south to Portugal and east to Turkey, Sea of Marmara. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits soft bottoms (Ref. 2780); in muddy substrates, along the sub-littoral zone. A carnivore-scavenger (Ref. 96352).
