Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  One of the most frequently collected species of turban shells in the tropical Southwest Pacific. Mainly used as food, but the shell serves also for making buttons (Ref. 349).
