Heavily built with big head. Color varies from uniform white to dark gray to almost black with occasional dark ocelli or pale reticulate pattern on lower body. Sub-adults with indistinct transverse pale blotches with dark centers along the vertebral line. Two alternating series of blotches on the lower lateral surface and mid-ventral line (Ref. 2357). Fangs may be 0.7 cm long (Ref. 88063). |
Occurs in coastal areas. Ovoviviparous. Feeds on fish (Ref. 801). |
