This species is found on light-exposed vertical substrates at depths of 6 to 10 m. They are known to be associated with Mytilus chilensis (Ref. 87801). |

This species is probably endemic to Chile. It is known from Puerto Montt to Peninsula Taitao and Golfo de Penas, to the Strait of Magellan. It is rare in Chile. |
