Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence (Ref. 2851, p. 719); to be replaced with better reference. Commonly found along beaches (Ref. 437). Inhabits fine well sorted sand (Ref. 2780). Also in areas influenced by outflows from estuaries (Ref. 96507). An active suspension feeder (Ref. 96376).
