Family:  Bursidae (frog shells)
Max. size:  9 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 25 - 166 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from Indonesia to Polynesia; north to Japan and south to southern Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Also found on the continental shelf (Ref. 349). Feed on echinoderms, particularly ophiuroids (Ref. 128693).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. 123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from southern waters: Cape D'Aguilar, Sheung Sze Mun, and Lo Chau Mun (Ref. 77616). Also known from Lantau Island, Po Toi Island, Tolo Harbour (Ref. 121515), and Ap Lei Chau (Ref. 125500). C: Refs. 77616, 83334, 121515, 125500, around Cape D'Aguilar.
