Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean and Antarctic Atlantic: Central America to northern Brazil and Europe.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits fine well sorted sand (Ref. 2780). Typical inhabitant of sandy sediments in shallow depths (Ref. 124788). Discretely mobile. Omnivore that has a jawed pharynx (Ref. 125872).
