Distribution:  Northern Pacific, Western Central Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth reported from Colombia (Ref. 86508). Commonly found on the underside of boulders, along shores with a gradient from sheltered to having moderate exposure (Ref. 119717).

Country info:  Found in the east and south coasts, along shores with a gradient from sheltered to having moderate exposure (Ref. 119717).
