Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Sri Lanka, Philippines to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Formation: massive, cerioid, with hexagonal or pentagonal corallites between 3 to 4 mm in diameter. Thin walls. Beaded septa. Poorly developed columellae. Thick fleshy tissue over the skeleton absent. Color: brown with pale gray centers, surface usually with white speckles. In situ, can easily be mistaken for a faviid with small corallites (Ref. 848).
