Neritic (Ref. 116114). Swims near the surface in murky waters near estuaries in harbors and embayments (Ref. 3248). Also found in mangroves (Ref. 116581). Commensals: host to Charybdis feriata megalopa (Ref. 116535). |

Known to grow throughout the year inside Laguna Joyuda (Ref. 3042). Also lives in symbiosis with algal endosymbionts (zooxanthellae) throughout its free-swimming medusa stage (Ref. 3064). Salinity ranged from 19 to 35 ppt and water temperature ranged between 24.5°Celsius and 31.5°Celsius (Ref. 7692). |
