Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 62 - 64 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Length based on occurrence record; to be replaced with better reference. Lives in shallow waters near coral reefs (Ref. 799). Lower intertidal fringe and sublittoral to shelf zones (Ref. 349). Feeds on small crabs (Ref. 85382).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. 123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  National Red List Status: Endangered. Threats are habitat destruction, collection for marine curio and shell trade. Specimens have not been observed since the 1970's (Ref. 85382). C: Ref. 85382; M: Ref. 349.
