Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic, Northeast Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. Subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth range from Isles of Scilly record (Ref. 1442); to be replaced with a better reference. Epibenthic, encrusting (Ref. 116066). Found on Laminaria holdfasts, Crisia, Cellaria, Amathia, gravel and rocks (Ref. 1442). This is a suspension feeder (Ref. 3477).
