Abstract
:
Seasonal observations of the shrimp Pandalus hypsinotus in the Tatar Strait (the Sea of Japan) showed that females release larvae in the first half of summer. Gametogenesis becomes active in the second half of the year, and spawning occurs in winter. The majority of females carry eggs for about six months, but some shrimps keep outer eggs for a longer period. Moulting, which is accompanied by the growth of adults, takes place in late summer-early autumn.
