Additional Characters | Egg capsules are usually deposited on tilted rock surfaces or underneath boulders, places that are not exposed to direct sunlight. Capsules form clusters since the snails aggregate during breeding. Each egg capsule is vase-shaped with an apical plug. The capsule has a tough leathery wall and a basal attachment disc. Eggs are cream when newly laid, but turns black through its development. |
